Welcome
to the Woodstock Lightning |
|
Woodstock Lightning
is a travel baseball program based in Woodstock,
Illinois. Lightning teams play competitive travel baseball in the
McHenry County Baseball League, the Mid-Suburban Baseball League, and in
local and national tournaments.
Woodstock Lightning
offers competitive baseball programs that include competitive games, full
baseball rules (lead offs, stealing, dropped 3rd strikes, etc.), and
pre-season indoor training sessions at SportsCity Academy.
Our program fees are among the lowest in
the area yet we provide a full service travel program through innovative
fundraisers. And we have opportunities for players families to
reduce their costs to zero by offering credits for fundraisers and
business sponsorships you sell. We play on some of
the nicest fields in the entire area at Merryman Park, Bates Roskie and
even the Dream Field at Emricson Park for our older teams.
Like other travel baseball programs,
Lightning teams hold tryouts and form teams each August. Watch this
web site and the Northwest Herald newspaper for announcements of our
tryouts. And please contact me with any questions.
Thanks,
Mike Turner, President,
