Woodstock Lightning invite you to join up to 32 teams at this huge
Memorial weekend tournament at beautiful Merryman Park in Woodstock.
Merryman features 7 baseball-only fields with grass infields and natural
raised pitching mounds. This our 4th annual tournament run by
travel coaches with expertise at running great tournaments.
Merryman
Field is a newer baseball complex opened in 2009 with bullpens and large
concrete dugouts. These may be the best fields you play on this year!
Ages 9u, 10u, 12u and 13u. Up to
8 teams per age group. 32 total teams. For each age group -- two pools
of 4 teams. 1st and 2nd place teams from each pool advance to the
championship round. 3 game guarantee.
Pool play games on
Saturday 5/26 and Sunday 5/27. First and second place teams advance to
Monday championships. Final format will be determined by the number of
teams. There will be a minimum of a 3 game guarantee.
The Woodstock Lightning are
experienced travel baseball managers who have experience in running
great tournaments. We run the tournament to maximize baseball and
minimize hassles (like 8am games -- we don't schedule 8am games).
This
tournament is open to any 9u, 10u, 12u, 13u teams.
Games are full baseball with lead-offs, stealing,
dropped 3rd strikes.
Birthday cut-off is May 1st.
Bases - 9u & 10u 65' / 12u 70' /
13u 80'
6 inning (9u, 10u,
12u) or 7 inning (13u) games.
Patched IHSA Umpires from Fox Valley Blues - we do
not use in-house umps.
Concessions on site.
Trophies for 1st and 2nd place teams.
NO 8am games.
NO gate fee.
Tournament is five minutes from
the historic downtown Woodstock Square with local restaurants and quaint
shops.
